Up From Here / Tampa, FL

BIOGRAPHY

While originally hailing from the sunshine state, Up From Here now hails from Tampa, FL and Nashville TN, trying to find their place in the Music City as an emo/pop punk band overshadowed by Nashville’s traditions deeply rooted in country music. The high energy emo/pop-punk hybrid trio, known for their catchy hooks, emotionally charged lyrics and live shows stay true to the nostalgic sound drawing inspiration from the genre’s founding fathers Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found Glory etc. like most of their contemporaries in the current wave of pop punk, the band is charting their own course. Pop punk at its heart is supposed to be fun, lighthearted and not taken seriously, and Up From Here embodies this with songs about growing up, relationships and escapism, while also combining nostalgia and personal struggle with lyrical depth to explore deeper subjects with a hint of positivity in the subtext, often with narratives that challenge fans to find the silver lining, and persevere at all costs.

Up From Here released their debut record “All For Nothing” with We Are Triumphant, recording with esteemed industry veterans Dan Swank, Ace Enders, Nik Bruzzese and Lee Dyess (Mayday Parade, From First to Last, Against Me). Toured the country and appeared on the Vans Warped Tour for several summers, including main stage performances in their hometown of Tampa. They have shared the stage with Set It Off, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Memphis May Fire, I See Stars, Hawthorne Heights and more.

Most recently recorded with Seth Henderson

True to their name, the band is about lifting each other up because as far as they’re concerned - there’s only one way to go.
